CHARACTER AGE: Estimated to be between 17-18
SERIES: Ferris Bueller's Day Off
CHRONOLOGY: Running home
CLASS: Not good enough to be a hero, but not bad enough to be a vigilante

BACKGROUND:
It's 1986, and Chicago is ripe and ready for adventure. Where Downtown is a mere thirty-minutes away, it is filled with the occasional parades, gourmet restaurants, and sleazy parking garages. In the smaller towns, there are your typical humble homes, often times run through by Ferris. It's a safe environment despite the teenagers, as shown how open people are to sunbathing in their backyards and how open they are to leaving their doors unlocked.
On any regular given day, the school bus drives through the streets, picking up kids. Needless to say, it is your typical middle-class neighborhood. The only exception to this, is where the main character's best friend lives. His family is rich and they live in a very cold, museum like place.
More can be found here.
PERSONALITY:
At first glance, Ferris appears to be your typical senior. The truth is, he kinda is. He indulges in MTV, fast food, music, and playful teenage antics. He's as mundane as they come: he lives with both his mother and father, and his younger sister Jeanie who he has a small (at least to him) rivalry with. He is a senior in high school, has a rather sickly best friend, and is dating a junior. Beyond that however, lies someone far more intelligent, level-headed, idealistic, and manipulative person. He knows how to play the game, and is very popular student and a beloved icon of the small town he lives in.
First and foremost, Ferris is a highly idealistic person. With ease, he denounces believing in politics and or religion. "I quote John Lennon: 'I don't believe in The Beatles, I just believe in me." He believes that no one should believe in a higher believe system like hope or faith or even socialism. For one to be truly free, he believes that they should have faith in themselves first, and then perhaps in others. This isn't to say that he's a missionary of sorts, simply that this helps him explain his believe that one should live life in the present. That one should do as they please.
Due to the high (and slightly twisted) ideals he has, Ferris has a tendency to be blunt, manipulative, and have general disregard of consequences. With ease he will straight up lie to others, bully his friend into doing shenanigans with him, and kiss his girlfriend on the mouth while pretending to be her father. Of course he isn't heartless; when his friend destroyed his father's precious car, Ferris was willing to take the blame (knowing full well how terrible his father was).
Ferris in general is a well liked person. He's a pretty decent guy despite all the ditching he does, all the lies, and all the manipulation. As noted by one of the characters in the series, he is admired and adored by every clique in his school. From the cheerleaders to the motorheads to the nerds, they all seem to admire him. It's because Ferris carries himself in a very proud and cocky manner, but he does not come across as unapproachable. If anything, it is shown that random people (he does not know) call him to check up on him, and they even go as far as to collect money for him because they all believed he needed a new kidney. At the end of the day, it seemed that everyone and their mothers knew Ferris and wished for him to get better.
He's a very colorful person of sorts. Even though he can act a bit immature (see the ditching, pranks, etc.), he's actually very intelligent and cultured. His intelligence seems to shine through in his antics mostly. On the day the movie takes place, it is shown how articulate and calculative Ferris is when it comes to fooling his parents into thinking he is sick, fooling the principal into thinking he is his girlfriend's father, and fooling a waiter at a French restaurant that he was indeed the sausage king of Chicago. Not only is he creative, but he is also quick on his feet (he is shown to take a good pause with certain situations however).
The two most important relationships Ferris is shown to have, is that with his best friend Cameron Fyre, and his girlfriend Sloane Peterson. Cameron is someone Ferris seems to deeply care about; not only his physical well-being and mental, but he seems to also care about his sex-life or lack of. While Ferris can be cruel to him and use him for his antics, he does show his approval when the other does well and is very protective of him. While he does get annoyed by him easily, he seems to get over it pretty quickly. All Ferris truly wants for Cameron is for him to live his life freely like him.
His girlfriend is possible the only person Ferris seems to be openly serious with and still sound as if he's joking or playing around (as he comes across with everyone else even Cameron). While Ferris and his 'crew' were at the stock exchange building, he asked her if she wanted to get married, listed the reason why it would be bad, and still asked if she was willing to do it. While she didn't take him seriously, in one of the moments where he broke the fourth wall (which he does numerous times throughout the series), he admitted that he wasn't joking and really did want to get married. Although he is shown to flirt with other women, and even look up pixel-art pornography, he seems to be faithful and admits to being in love with Sloane. Whether or not he actually knows true love can be debated.
Ferris is a young man who lives in the present with very little regrets. Although he does believe that it is okay to sometimes stop and look around at what is happening. He likes to think that nothing should be missed or forgotten, and everything one does should be lasting and unforgettable.
POWER:
As mentioned, Ferris comes from a very, very mundane world where super powers and powers in general are only limited to cartoon, comic book, and film characters. He would (in this setting) have the ability to influence others into doing and saying what they truly want. He is also able to influence others into going along with his shenanigans. The more they are around and like Ferris, the stronger his power becomes. (This does not apply to people who do not like him at all whether they change their opinion later on. Once they don't like him, his powers are forever nulled on them).
He will also have the ability to float around aimlessly up to ten feet.

( the feed opens up to a spinning chair, with ferris bueller on it. the chair seems to be spinning at a high speed before it suddenly comes to violent stop.
ferris shook his head side to side before he spoke and looked up at his device. )
Greetings imports. Both new and old, I, as ambassador of Florida, would like to say: You're all going to get sick of this heat. Take it from me, you're going to need a new wardrobe.
( to those who knew him, he was clearly lying.
he paused a bit before smiling. )
Anyways, I am not here to discuss that, at least not today. I had something else in mind...
( with a snap of his fingers, he began to glow a light purple and floated up from his chair and towards the device. he got close enough so that it seemed he was pressing his eyeball up against the screen. )
Where is your God now?
( he laughed cruelly before setting himself back down and he backed away. )
Did I scare you guys? Good. You need to keep on your feet at all times.
( with a wink and a flourish, he pulled forth a can of coca-cola, and shook it a bit. the sound of coins tinkering back and forth could be heard. )
Listen, I hate to bother, especially as ambassador, but what can I say? Anyways I'll make this short and sweet, I need donations. I plan on buying a car, my first one, and anything you can donate will be truly appreciated. The person who donates the most also gets to take a joyride on my new car.
